| International Ex Libris Competition |
In 2018 Lithuania will commemorate the centenary of the
Restoration of the State of Lithuania. On February 16, 1918, the
Council of Lithuania signed a document proclaiming the
restoration of an independent State of Lithuania.
Povilas Višinskis Siauliai County Public Library, which has been actively maintaining and promoting bookplates for two decades now, striving to meaningfully honour the centenary of the occasion and paying tribute to the country’s prominent personalities and state institutions, is launching an international bookplate competition „EX LIBRIS. RESTORED LITHUANIA 100“.
We
kindly invite painters and little graphic artists from all over
the world to create bookplates, dedicated to the State of
Lithuania, its outstanding personalities and state
organisations.
Participants
have to submit 3 seals of every printed and autographed
bookplate. Bookplates for the Competition have to be sent before
December 15, 2017 to the following address:

The international Jury will evaluate entries submitted to the competition and qualify the best of them to the exhibition and awards and prizes, issued by different sponsors and organisations, as well as with valuable presents and diplomas.

catalogue will be issued in 2018. The participants of the
competition will get a catalogue for free.
